Fi's weekly game plan
From the September 29 edition: playoff baseball, college football Saturday, and the Panthers under the Sunday night lights.
VS
One of baseball’s biggest rivalries. In the playoffs. You really don’t need much more of a sales pitch than that. The Wild Card round is best-of-three, so there is almost no room for a bad night.
WILD CARD
VS
Cleveland just broke my heart, and now they get a division rivalry game just four days later.
THURSDAY NIGHT
VS
There are plenty of ranked teams in action, but one matchup to circle is No. 4 Miami at Clemson. College GameDay, meanwhile, is heading to Iowa City for Ohio State–Iowa.
MIAMI AT CLEMSON
VS
THE PANTHERS ARE PLAYING PRIMETIME FOOTBALL. At home. Against Detroit. I don’t know if I’m excited or concerned. Probably both.
SUNDAY NIGHT
VS
NFC South football to finish the weekend. And if we’ve learned anything about this division already, assuming you know what’s going to happen is probably a bad idea.
MONDAY NIGHTYour call

“Wait… what was the spread?”
Your one-line take: A team can win the actual game and still not cover the spread. Now you’ve got a way into the conversation.

Meet Fi
I'm a 26-year-old lifelong sports fanatic who believes sports are about so much more than the final score.
Ever since I can remember, sports have been a huge part of my life. My husband and I love attending games, watching just about anything that's on, and keeping up with the biggest stories across the sports world.
While soccer and football are my biggest passions, I genuinely love following all sports. If there's a championship on, a rivalry game happening, or an underdog making a run, I'm probably watching.
I created Fi's Playbook because I realized sports can feel intimidating if you didn't grow up following them. My goal is to make sports fun, easy to understand, and something everyone can enjoy—especially for those who just want to know enough to join the conversation without needing ESPN on in the background 24/7.
Whether you're here to keep up with the biggest stories, learn something new, or finally understand what everyone at the office is talking about on Monday morning, you're in the right place.
“You don't need to know everything. You just need the right playbook.”
